Her 2 missing teeth & Kek Chempedak

Alysa's 2 front teeth have been wobbly for quite some time. Jenuh nak pujuk dia ke dentist. Tapi since dia sampai pitam masa her first dental appointment hari tu, dia sampai nak nangis bila sebut nak jumpa dentist. I siap bagi option nak jumpa Mama Hazim ( our neighbour ) or Auntie Liza ( our friend ). Still dia tak nak.

Last tuesday, main redah je bawak dia jumpa Liza kat SP. Nak pujuk dia I cakap le I pun nak fix my teeth. Sampai kat dentist, dia terus turned on mode diam & cakap guna bahasa isyarat..:-). Auntie Liza pandai pujuk. So, tercabut le 2 gigi tu. Dapat upah choc drinks from Starbuck lagi dari Auntie Liza. Alhamdulillah, this time dia tak byk songeh. Tapi bila senyum tu control je..:D. Bila I cakap dia tak de gigi macam Baby Airis, happy le pulak dia.

On d way balik dari jumpa dentist

In the mean time, Baby Airis tak sihat pulak this week. Kena bawak pegi neb. Last nite I angkut bawak balik nebuliser after seing a paeditrician. He said , she looked ok. Tak de le sampai nak kena warded pulak. tapi dah 2 malam I tak tido coz dia asyik merengek je. But today, she's much better. Hopefully tak delah melarat.

This week mak was here. A surprise visit from her. Siap angkut 1 boot penuh fruits. Macam2 ada..durian, rambutan, cempedak. pisang, dokong and lemon. Dah jadi macam dusun dah belakang rumah. Lepas dia balik je, macam2 leftover buah dalm fridge. Kena le I buat projek baking & cooking to finish off the fruits. 1st project was making Kek Chempedak. Nice and moist.

Ingredients

250 grams of butter
200 grams of sugar ( I used 180gm )
250 grams of self raising flour ( I used 250 gm plain flour + 2 tsp baking powder )
4 eggs
200 grams of chempedak flesh, deseeded – Use a kitchen scissor to cut the flesh to tiny pieces to avoid it turning mushy.

Method

1. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy
2. Add eggs and flour alternately
3. Mix in the flesh gently and bake. Avoid messing up the flesh and the cake batter because you do not want the flesh to seep into the batter, making the cake taste overpowering.
4. Bake at 180C for 45 minutes.
